Hi everybody!
First off, I want to thank everyone who has been reading the comic since day one. Your support is greatly appreciated, and I hope you’ve been enjoying it so far and, trust me, there is plenty more mayhem to come in the later chapters.
So I bet you’re asking: “why no page this week?”. Well, with the summer upon us, I have a lot going on: Family stuff, weddings, and general summer loving. So I’ve decided that for the next couple of months I am going to take a break from Black Grease. I bet you’re saying “noooooo “ right about now but, never fret, I plan to continue producing lots of artwork during the hiatus.
I am taking the break to focus on a couple of other projects that I have really been itching to work on. But that doesn’t mean you won’t see any Black Grease related awesomeness, because myself and the rest of the Black Grease team are going to publish the first chapter for your reading pleasure. There will be a limited run to this book and it will have a swanky screen printed front cover, with a sketchbook section in the back showcasing some of my early designs of the characters and whatnot. Make sure you keep checking the website, because I plan to update it every so often with info on the book and other Black Grease related news. Also check in at my personal illustration blog at scotthumeart.blogspot.com if you are curious about my other summer projects.
So again, thanks for all the support, and I hope to see you all in 2 months time for the launch of Chapter 2 and, trust me, it will be a doozy.
